Industrial Benches

Each bench is built from either reclaimed oak from Midwestern barns or sustainably sourced hardwood - walnut, white oak, or reclaimed oak depending on the model. They come in a number of finishes that are hard-wearing, water-resistant, and VOC-friendly - that means no toxins and family friendly. You can order wood swatches to see which one suits your space best. The steel frames are hand-welded in-house, not sourced from a supplier. The result is a solid wood and metal bench that contrasts the warmth of organic grain patterns with modern steel accents - a piece that is as beautiful as it is robust.

Absolutely. Several of our industrial benches are designed with the entryway in mind - including models with drawers or cubbies that double as storage. An industrial entryway bench with storage is a practical choice for a high-traffic space. It's solid enough to sit on every day, with room for shoes, bags, or baskets underneath or inside.

The depth of a bench should be anywhere between 13 to 15 inches. Otherwise it risks being too narrow or too wide. Of course, keep in mind the person the bench is for - if it's for a child, the depth may need to be reduced to make it comfortable for them.

For the wood top - wipe with a damp cloth, avoid standing water, and don't use chemical cleaners or furniture polish. The finish needs about 30 days to fully cure after delivery. For the steel frame - it's ready to use, just wipe clean as needed. If the wood surface ever gets scratched or nicked, you can use our Furniture Touch-Up Kit to sort things out quickly and easily.
